Zen Buddhism Ireland meets in person and online to practice Zen meditation in the Soto Zen Buddhist tradition. Our guiding teacher is Rev. Myozan Kodo, a Soto Zen Buddhist priest in the lineage of Nishijima Roshi and a member of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association of recognised Western Zen teachers. Both new and experienced meditators are welcome.
Zen Buddhism Ireland practices online sittings and ceremonies. If you can’t make it to our regular Monday evening sits in Dublin city center, this might suit you better. Please contact Myozan to join in and take part. Also, Zen Buddhism Ireland regularly organizes retreats where we practice Zazen in noble silence, as well as the traditional ritual forms of the Soto Zen way.
On request, Myozan will prepare students for ‘Jukai’, the ceremony of formally entering the Buddhist path and taking the Precepts. Myozan is also available to officiate at weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies, commitment ceremonies and other ceremonies to mark life transitions. Use the contact page to find out more.
