Rev. Myozan Kodo Kilroy (also known as Myozan Ian Kilroy) is the founding teacher of Zen Buddhism Ireland.

Teacher / Vice Abbot
Hodo is honored to be the first transmitted teacher under Myozan and is also serving as Vice Abbot.

Kozan Kokai
Teacher / Tanto
Kōzan Kōkai was raised in Dundalk, Ireland and has been practicing Buddhism for nearly twenty years, with the past decade dedicated to the Zen path. He ordained as a novice priest in 2019 and completed Hossen Shiki in 2023, taking up the role of shusho. In 2025, he received Dharma transmission from his teacher, Myōzan Kōdō, marking his formal recognition as a Zen teacher.
Kōzan currently serves as Tanto at the Dublin Zen Centre, taking care of the practice space.
Particular interests of dharma study include the Yogācāra school of thought and the writings of Huang Po.

Koryu Shinso
Shudo
Koryu Shinso, currently serving as Shuso in Dublin Zen Centre, entered the Buddhadharma in 1982, taking refuge in the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhist. He entered the Zen Buddhist Way in 2019, receiving Jukai and subsequently Hossen Shiki with Master Myozan Kodo, founding abbot of Zen Buddhism Ireland.
Prior to retirement he worked in therapeutic horticulture, and most recently has been a volunteer language tutor with immigrants.
His hobbies are in contemplative art practice in the spirit of haiku.
